By doing this it helps to reduce the lumpy effect that cellulite causes.
This ingredient helps to stabilize the product but at the same time it is beneficial for softening the skin.

Many of these oils are recognized for being beneficial for a variety of reasons in the treatment of the appearance of cellulite. Several of the high caliber cellulite treatments use them in different combinations and strengths.
Why It May work
If the wild yam root extract is as effective as what some claim in helping to work against cellulite that may have been caused by estrogen factors, then yes this particular product may be beneficial. The ingredients in the product do focus on some of the important aspects to help with cellulite. The first is ingredients to help stimulate the blood flow so it will encourage new cell growth. The second is to encourage lymphatic drainage which helps to reduce the toxins which will have built up in this area.
Why It May Not Work
There are many different causes that have been documented as the cause for cellulite with one of these being hormone imbalances specifically with estrogen. If this is not the root cause for those using this product then there could be a good chance that it will not be all that effective.
It is recommended that additional products within this product line be used in conjunction with the Cellulite Rx product. According to marketing promo material if this is done it will accelerate the success of the product. This raises the question as to how effective is this treatment without the use of the support products, and in what way does the addition of these products achieve their success?
There are many considerations to be given to Cellulite Rx. To begin with because the competition in respect to cellulite treatments is so great each manufacturer must come up with something that makes their product unique. Often it will be by focusing on one major ingredient. In this case it is the wild yam root which takes the interesting approach to dealing with hormone based cellulite issues.
It is true that the skin can absorb what is put on it but without intense clinical studies it would be hard to determine just how many of the active ingredients are getting into the deeper layers with this product, and if they did what kind of affect would they be having on the cellulite. Then it would also raise the question if these hormone type ingredients would have any effect on the hormone levels of the individual. These are all interesting questions but again it would come down to the premise that the individual using this would have to be suffering from the cellulite as a result of hormones.
It would seem that in the event this particular product was not all that productive there are enough other active ingredients in the products like the variety of essential oils and fairly good emollients to create some success in the overall appearance of the cellulite. The second major focus this Company puts on their product is the delivery system the product uses to penetrate the skin with the active ingredients. In respect to the other suspected causes the other ingredients as mentioned should cause some level of improvement.
If one is aware that they do have an estrogen problem and also have the problem of cellulite then it may be worth giving this particular product a chance before perhaps trying any of the other well known ones. If it known for sure that hormones are not an issue then it may be that price comparison shopping would be more feasible, looking for less expensive products that contain similar ingredients that are capable of increasing blood flow and lymphatic drainage. These combined with good quality lubricants and emollients should give some substantial results.
