Overall Rating

Not Rated

Good to know. I have found that using baby oil in the shower and vitamin E oil throughout the day works really well. I am 6 months a long and have no stretch marks. Also, in my own research I have discovered that whether a woman gets stretch marks has a lot to do with her hereditary. Whether her mother got them or not makes a huge difference. My mother didn't get any, thank goodness.

Overall Rating

Not Rated

You are correct. Unfortunately, there is no clinical or scientific evidence that shows Cocoa Butter has any affect on reducing an individuals chance of stretchmarks.

There was only one study done, back in 1991, that shows that any ingredients can reduce your chance of getting stretchmarks. Those ingredients are Gotu Kola, Vitamin E, and Collagen Hydrolysates.

Cocoa butter, while a great moisturizer, is ineffective in any other regard.
Additionally, Palmers products are not teratology screend, and contain some ingredients that have been linked to birth defects in published medical research.

Just something I felt should be shared with your readers.
