Sometimes, due to the color of the stretch marks fading from its initial reddish tone, the laser is not able to detect the mark, making microdermabrasion better than laser surgery.

The other option is to get the treatment done at home for about $300. Good microdermabrasion home kits include Neutrogena, Youthful Essence and Dermanew. While Microdermabrasion for stretch marks is a safe option as compared to surgical laser removal, it is good to pay heed to a few things before you decide, such as the intensity of the treatment, the condition of your skin, after treatment care, not using it while on Accutane or any other clinical treatment, etcetera. The choice is yours.
